We are fortunate to have so many treatment options available to improve this area.
Problems that can be addressed include:
• Heavy brow
• Crow’s feet
• Hollow temples
• “Tired eyes” – eye bags, dark circles or tear troughs
• Hollowing and volume loss under the eye area itself or the supporting cheek
• Loss of collagen and elasticity in the skin especially around the eyes
There are certainly some problems in the eye area that can only be effectively treated with surgery. But for most of the ageing changes that occur to this area and or for those who are unwilling to undergo invasive surgery, we have the tools and the expertise to make significant changes non-invasively and with minimal downtime.
Muscle Relaxing Injections can smooth the frown lines, lift the brow and soften the crow’s feet lines.
Dermal Fillers. This is where we have made some big advances – both in the products that are now available and the techniques we now use.
Hollowing of the temples has a very ageing effect on the face. It makes the face look gaunt and leaves the outer third of the eyebrow tuning down. Restoring volume here has an amazing effect on the eye area and the face generally.
The brow can also be shaped and naturally lifted with filler.
Hollowing under the eyes in the tear trough (as well as more laterally) makes the face look tired. A very fine dermal filler can be safely injected into this area, integrating perfectly with the skin to blend with the cheek more evenly and reduce the dark circles.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an excellent treatment for this area to stimulate collagen and elastin and improve skin quality. A course of 3 treatments 6-8 weeks apart is ideal.
The Best Results occur when the most advanced products are used in the most experienced hands.
