As the winter months are approaching, now is the perfect time to start thinking about treating your skin with Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) which is a unique medical treatment for sun damaged, blemished and aged skin on the face and body. PDT is effective in bringing new life to aged skin and treating concerns such as rosacea, acne, large pores and skin discolouration due to sun damage.

The skin is prepared using Allmedic face or body repair daily for two weeks leading up to your treatment. Consultations are performed by Dr Kathy to ensure PDT is the best treatment option.

Another very popular treatment during these months is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) for skin rejuvenation. IPL safely and comfortably fades the appearance of skin imperfections caused by the sun and uneven skin tones caused by brown and red spots such as rosacea, general redness and age spots.

Downtime on the face is minimal, however very sun damaged areas such and décolletage, upper back and arms can have up to two weeks downtime making the winter months a perfect time to treat these areas.

A complimentary assessment and test patch is performed by our skin therapist, Julie-Anne who is an IPL/Laser safety officer and has eleven years’ experience in this treatment.
